Cooley's 25 points and 9 rebounds give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

34-year old American Jack Cooley (206-C/F-1991, agency: Pensack Sports) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Ryukyu Golden Kings Okinawa and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had the game-high 25 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for Ryukyu GK in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Macau BB (#4, 0-6) with 23-point margin 102-79. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Golden Kings is placed at 2nd position in East Asia Super League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Ryukyu will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. Cooley has many years of experience at Golden Kings, through which he has constantly improved. University of Notre Dame graduate has very impressive stats this year. Cooley is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 13.3rpg) and averages solid 51.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Assem Marei (206-C-1992) of Changwon LG Sakers. He is Egyptian center in his first season at LG Sakers. In the last game Marei recorded an impressive double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Sakers lost that game 81-88 to the higher-ranked Alvark Tokyo (#1, 3-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. LG Sakers still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Sakers managed to get this year. Marei is a newcomer at LG Sakers and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Ryukyu GK's star - center Alex Kirk (211-C-1991, agency: Pensack Sports). Kirk scored 25 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was another key player of Ryukyu Golden Kings Okinawa, helping his team with a 102-79 easy win against #4 ranked Macau BB. Golden Kings needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost game. Kirk has a great season in East Asia Super League. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.8rpg (9th best).
